Cops Smash Seized DJ Equipment On Youtube, Earn Dislikes

Footage of police destroying confiscated audio gear from a recent rave in the UK has angered both ravers and charity groups.

Understandably the stacked amps and speaker box shown being smashed in the video would have cost some dosh for the ravers but also wards needless destruction of gear that could have possibly been given to those in need.

Adrian Cooke, a spokesman for a local charity, Community Music East commented: “It’s a waste of equipment and it seems strange that the police seem to be happy boasting about it… Around the county there’s many organisations that are under-resourced and DJ equipment in particular is in high demand.”

The gear was taken from a rave in  Feltwell Woods, West Norfolk and is one of many shutdown in previous months. This hardline action is aimed to deter the punters from returning without serious consequences.

Superintendent Dave Marshall said: “This shows once again that we will not tolerate raves in Norfolk. They can have a real impact on people living in rural communities and we will continue to crack down on those who commit these crimes.”

The police were told to destroy the equipment under courts order. Other videos on the channel show needless destruction of doors while trying to enter willing owners and horses trotting through street, government money well spent!
