Thankfully Simon Cowell’s ‘DJ Factor’ TV Show Canned

It was back in January that word of a DJ styled ‘X Factor’ show led by Simon Cowell was on the horizon.

Thankfully the series to “find the world’s greatest DJ” and purportedly in development for up to a year was canned due to internal fighting between production companies.

It was the New York Post that sprung news of the infighting between Syco and Overbrook with the prior quoted as saying “Syco and Overbrook [have] decided not to proceed together on a DJ-Competition show”.

The finger was mainly pointed at Simon for wanting top billing credits versus Overbrook – the production company owned by Will and Jada Smith.

Again, lucky for us the whole doomed-from-the-start idea has gone way of Simon Cowells receding hairline and taken a step (or two) back.

Although we certainly had a laugh at Steve Lawlers parody of the whole thing, “it’s all about the birds, it’s all about the money”…
