Justin Jay – Dirtybird Halloweend Mix

Halloween may be primarily an American holiday tradition, but regardless of where it’s celebrated, this Dirtybird “Halloweend” mix by Justin Jay SLAPS and should be played at high volume in all corners of the globe. The mix is promoting the Dirtybird CONTROL takeover at Avalon in Hollywood tonight – if you happen to be in the LA area, you can buy a ticket here.

One of the newest kids on the San Francisco booty-bass/tech-house label and hailing from LA, Justin is only around 19 years old, but his DJing skills are incredibly masterful. He was discovered in 2010 after winning a DJ Mag contest. The prize was to play at the 2010 DJ Mag Top 100 party in London, where he was supposed to open for big guns like Afrojack, Laidback Luke, and Fedde Le Grand. Sadly because he was still under 18 he wasn’t allowed to play, but the award helped him get his foot in the door with an apprenticeship at Atlantic Records under DJ Frank E.

Since he’s been signed to Dirtybird Records, he’s been able to explore his true love for raunchy, jackin tech-house and bass tunes. He’s released a few singles recently under the imprint, including “The Dip,” “Femme Fatale” (which is featured in the Halloweend mix), and “Epilogue.”

In Justin’s Halloweend mix, you’ll hear a few familiar favs, like the sultry head-nodder from Nina Kravitz “" target="_blank">Ghetto Kravitz,” the Justin Martin remix of French Fries’ “Space & Smoke,” and Mak & Pasterman’s electrifying “Give It Up.” Check it out – this mix is guaranteed to make you scream and moan.
