Over the past few years there has been a few fairly decent media overviews of the ‘history’ of dance music. The funny thing is we have just reached the point where there can be a description of a ‘history.’ As genre that came of age less than a generation ago, with so much passion that no one ever restires, dance is still stolidifying its legitamacy beyond basement raves. Maybe it’s a US perspective but you guys can tell us; it seems the early sounds of electornic are making a comback in a retro way. Producers such as Disclosure have been reviving a sound that the youth are unaccustomed to. Lucky for us the advencemnts in technology give the old sound a new flare. This remix by UK based T.William’s is no exception. Disclosure’s tunes have been getting huge expsoure recently. Williams add some real London funk to take ‘Latch’ over the edge. We are super excited about thie retro movment, you should be too. Hopefully more 80’s fashion styles will continue to seep back into mainstream culture!
