Wood Holly – Hoe Hoe Hoe EP

If find yourself lying awake at night in a cold sweat pondering the essence of 808 booty house music, you don’t have to feel like a freak, we condone the obsession and will gladly fuel it for you.

Here’s a preview of the newest EP off of Anabatic Records, San Francisco’s home for “Future and Booty House,” to be released September 25th from LA duo Wood Holly. The EP as well as the first track is called Hoe Hoe Hoe in honor of all the hoes in the house who will lose total control of their derrieres when the beat drops. If this style of soulful, rump shakin house reminds of you of a certain special someone (ahem, Claude Von Stroke), it certainly should. CVS has used the same technique you hear about a minute into “Hoe Hoe Hoe” of slowing down the tempo to amplify the power of the track’s rhythm (specifically in his March 2011 Crackcast mix here – check it at about 13:30 minutes in).

The second track on Wood Holly’s EP called “Sex In An Elevator” is a smooth and sultry compliment to the energy of the first, complete with a sexy female voice purring “tooouuuuch meeee…” If that’s not something to keep you wide awake at night then maybe you should be dreaming.
