Midnight Juggernauts Record In A Cave

Don’t get too excited for new Midnight Juggernaut material though as the band have only re-recorded a ‘truer’ and ‘icey’ version of “This New Technology” in a cave.

In an effort to re-birth the original, taken from their 2009 release ‘The Crystal Axis’ – the guys headed underground along with Sound Engineer Byron Scullin who, with an ambisonic microphone recorded on four channels to capture stereo, surround and a host of other sounds.

The result, fittingly titled “This Newer Technology” is an ultimately haunting version that steps away from the at-the-time tone and reflects a more menacing creature!

We are hopeful though that we will see new a Midnight Juggernaut album this year.

True to their word the recording seizes almost too-real actions from foot stamps to whispers and smashing of metal, watch the full mini-doco below.
