Beastie Boys music sales sky rocket

If I were to let you take a wild guess at how much Beastie Boys sales increased since the very sad passing away of Adam Yauch, what would your answer be?

We can confirm that all that sales went up a whopping 1235 percent since MCA’s passing away from cancer. To add to what is a true signs of people fighting for there right to party, seven Beastie Boys hit the Billboard Hot 200 charts with a vengeance this week. The highlight being debut classic album Licensed to Ill hitting No.18.

But there is a twist, the surviving members may not be pocketing all the sales profits with label Tuf America smacking a lawsuit on the outfit a day before the passing.

Website AllHipHop are reporting label Tuf America claim copyright infringements from some of the samples used on the early Beastie Boys tracks released in the 80s before legislation was brought in regards to sampling laws. A low act that will affect the labels credibility if true.
