M.I.A will be composing the music for a television series present by Julian Assange on the Russian, English speaking network RT.

The Sri Lankan born, London based rapper is a long term admirer of Assange’s work. This was shown in December 2010 when she took to Twitter to declare “julian assange borrowed my computer last week , im still FREAKING OUT !!!!!”

M.I.A has also created a mixtape entitled Vicki Leekx which was inspired by Assange’s website and the controversy surrounding it.

The television show promises “some of the most interesting and controversial people alive in the world today,” at his home in the English countryside while he is on house arrest. This all sounds like great viewing!
