Flume is working on full-length album

Sydney based electronic wunder-kid Flume has been working on his debut full-length album as revealed in a recent interview with TheMusic.com.au.

With a career that literally started out of the box at the age of 13 when Flume, real name Harley Streton received a CD for ‘making music’ out of a cereal box, it’s been a whirlwind of glowing success with the upheaval of post dubstep sounds with artists SBTRKT, The Weeknd and Mount Kimbie all becoming household names.

His ‘Sleepless” EP is what really broke the young producer by capturing an Australian take on the ambient, warbling almost trance like chorals.

So what’s this talk of a new album? Streton explains  “It’s finally all coming together. Most of the tracks are pretty close to complete, right now I’m going back and forth with vocalists and doing a heap of fine-tuning. So much has happened in such a short amount of time with so few tracks being released under the Flume moniker. I can’t wait to see the reaction this album gets.”

Adding details on a European/US tour for a new live show “We are working on setting up a really visually engaging light show that moves to the music, syncing up with the audio coming through the speakers.”

Expect the full release later this year on disco/house dejours Future Classic.
