Van She to release new album in July!

The sly folk over at Modular have been playing their cards tight with details of the forthcoming Van She album dripping ever so slowly.

A first tease was a 30 second clip of a Aphex Twin-esque Miami gentleman laying in a sunbed (possibly with a boner) adding vague clues to the new material or direction.

What dropped last night was a stream of the first single “Idea Of Happiness”, a beautifully crafted spin of indie and electronic staying true to the origins of typical Australian synth bands Cut Copy, The Presets and the Midnight Juggernauts (also recording).

It also came to light that the album was mixed in Kings Cross Australia and at the hands of Tony Hoffer, who is the master (pun intended) behind Beck, Air, Phoenix and M83.

The album to drop via Modular July 6 (AUS) / 9 (EU/UK) / 10 (USA).
