Fool’s Gold Radio – March 2012 Mix

The monthly Fool’s Gold Radio mixtape for March just dropped and it’s chock full of the thumpin’-est beats we’ve heard since…well, at least since A-Trak’s last release in February! But this mix is extra special: it not only commemorates A-Trak’s birthday month, but it’s also a bitchin’ celebratory preview of what is to come from the Fool’s Gold label and many other talented DJs and producers featured, who will all come together in Miami for Winter Music Conference/Ultra Music Festival at the end of the month.

After his signature intro track, A-Trak fades right into the funky fresh release “Yo Vogue” from French Fries, remixed by Dirtybird big-daddy, Claude VonStroke. From there he takes us on a journey into a new sound from Destructo with “LA Funky”, to be released on his much anticipated debut EP, “Technology”, in April from the BNR Trax label. You may know Destructo from his HARD parties, and you may also have noticed the slick sounds of this particular track in the official promo video for the HOLY SHIP! cruise that Destructo helped set sail on it’s maiden voyage back in January. If you haven’t seen the video yet, check it ">here.

This is yet another electric and eclectic exemplifier of A-Trak’s mixing mastermind. The endlessly diverse track selection features a stack of prime cuts, including the massive tune from Kanye and Jay-Z that goes buck wild mid-way through when A-Trak adds his special spin. Take a listen, it’s just what ‘cha need – this mix is definitely “Where My Money At.”
