It’s been a surreal few days for EDM with the genre thrust into the spotlight with the Grammys crowning Skrillex with a total of 3 awards –  ‘Best Remix’, ‘Best Dance/Electronica Album’ and ‘Best Dance Recording’.

Somewhere lost in the furore Sonny Moore tweeted the all important question… ‘What the fok is a drop?’

Although a few days old the Bangarang producer has questioned what his hardcore fans have labelled ‘the drop’ and seemingly so created an about-turn on a number of his most opinionated critics telling people to “Stop saying that word just enjoy music”.

This, toting Aphex Twins and the inclusion in his Grammy acceptance speeches of the scenes origins in Croyden and it’s roots reaching back to 2003 has really made people open their eyes to a guy… that is genuinely passionate about dubstep.

This came to light from a discussion Gotta Dance Dirty were having with their Facebook fans and a pretty ‘nice’ article FACT Magazine wrote up about the once emo-core singer.
