Rolling Stone made Holy Ship look boring

So we all know that Holy Ship went down over the weekend and it was blindly cool for the 2,500 on board – apart from a small mishap involving a reef/sandbar.

From the official pictures it was nothing but sun, booze, nip slips, low flying helicopters and one of the most diverse runs of dance music to ever make it onto a sea-bearing vessel.

What kind of threw me was Rolling Stones somewhat official photos from the event. Excited to check out all the ‘action’ I was visually assaulted with some sub-par photos that looked like they’d been taken with a calculator smeared in grease.

To make this clearer for some it felt necessary and just a bit of fun to caption a couple of the snaps they’d used.

Here’s some typical bro’s getting a self-taken Myspace snap, Skrillex has already been sunburnt.

Whats a party without Tommy Lee and Jonathan Davis of Korn… a good one.

A blurry shot of fans on the boat, some following safety precautions, others terribly bored (far left).

Zedd getting wrangled/grabbed/molested by a single fan

Steve throwing the gangster sign for ‘rich’, Laidback Luke with his patented face and Diplo plurring.

Rusko Poppins dancing to what could be a show-tune

Skrillzy and Rusko dropping tracks, Steve and ‘other guy’ in the background looking terribly bored

Maybe Rolling Stone should stick to the you know.. Rock and roll, the stuff they’ve been championing for 50 years or so.

Anyway, Spin actually took some great photos, so if your looking head over here.
