A lot of people have been weighing in on the trending topic of Simon Cowell’s light bulb moment to cash in on everyone wanting to be a dj by starting a DJ X-factor
After a lot of thought, this might not be the worst idea for the saturated dance music market. However, we are just unsure, so we’ve decided to take a look at the positives and negatives of a concept like this.
Positive Outlook
– If the executive producers understand the “modern day DJ”, that being someone who can produce and dj, we could see some cool tasks going down for serious contestants. e.g. What if they had a weekly task to remix certain songs, and have production master classes!
– Deadmau5 has backed the idea which could mean he knows something more about the format of the show
– Will create a wider audience appreciation for dance music
– People who make mash ups and claim them as their own original could get annihilated by the judges in the auditions
– We all get a better insight into the production of top producers
Negative Outlook on the Show
– They could be just concentrating on finding the girl with the biggest tits or the guys who looks closest to Tiesto and transforming them into their puppet
– Simon Cowell is the one running the show which means the target audience will be 16 year old girls
– The show format could only be based on dj mixing and not production
– We can expect a similar cheesy format to the existing talent time shows
– Simon Cowell is a deadbeat
add your thoughts at the bottom of the post and we will add them if we see fit!
