Ifan Dafydd: The Welsh James Blake?

You’ve probably never heard of Ifan Dafydd, let alone even know how to pronounce his name! The Welshman is on a serious role though, with some exceptional James Blake-eque tracks popping up online over the last few months. There was speculation for a long time that Dafydd was simply another alias of James Blake, in a similar vein to his Harmonimix productions, but this is definitely a different bloke. His sound is very, very similar to early, pre album Blake production, which is definitely not a bad thing. Bluesy R&B and jazz influences make for some pretty tasty ear candy.

His latest release is coming out on Push and Run in the new year, and you can listen to a stream of ‘Treehouse / To Me’ below.
