Jimmy Savile, regarded to some as the ‘original dj’ has died over the weekend aged 84.

Although a far cry from today’s high tech club warrior’s usually found behind the decks, Jimmy’s innovation in combining two turntables and a mic all the way back in 1947 is reason enough to drop some plastic on a deck and pay tribute to a true character.

Back in the day his routine show ‘Jim’ll Fix It’ attracted over 20,000 letters a week whilst his lifetime of marathons raised over 40 million pounds for charity.
